Taking a stand, inspiring others!
“God forbid that we should ever be comfortable while so many exist in such poverty, while 15 million children face the world each day with no parents, no future and no hope. I believe that our very survival as a global society depends on our response. To whom much is given, much is expected.”

Reach Lesotho is a comprehensive awareness and academic project designed by I Have Hope In The Fight Against AIDS, formerly known as Student Reach International. The program aims to inspire Canadian students to join the fight against AIDS. Through this program, not only are we engaging youth in HIV/AIDS education, but we are creating a unique tool to share their inspiring journey with others.
Twelve Guelph high school students have been selected to participate in this eighteen month project, which concludes with a trip to Lesotho in the summer of 2011. A video documentary is currently being developed through the experience and will be used across Canada to inspire students.
Reach Lesotho is sponsored by Parmalat Canada, who shares our vision of engaged youth making contributions to the global community. The curriculum is run by educators in the Upper Grand District School Board and our charitable account is held by the Upper Grand Learning Foundation. Below is a video by one of the twelve students, Brian Thomsen, explaining what Reach Lesotho means to him.
