“You Alone Can Do It, but You Can’t Do It Alone.”

Why would anyone in the right mind jump from a log 4 or 5 meter above the ground? Neither is climbing up to a tree top and walking across a thin steel wire only to be hung by a thin rope attached to a harness my idea of spending a Saturday.
Yeah right.
That’s what I thought before I got onto the bus ride to St.Clemens. Now I can’t imagine spending my weekend kick-off day any other way.
Maybe I didn’t want to admit it before. Yes, I have acrophobia – the fear of heights. Getting up there was one of the most difficult thing for me. However, the effervescence of my Reach Lesotho team helped me get over my acrophobia.
It was the ardent, ebullient, and fervent spirit of all my team members that gave me the strength while I was up there. I fed on their encouragements to get through the courses.
I am definitely giving kudos to my friends who began “The Climb” at my request. When I realized they dedicated the tune to me, I felt more compelled to climb that extra step than before.
Just as Grace and Desiree reminded us, some of us might not even had finished the course if we did it alone. I absolutely wouldn’t have; that’s for sure.
At the end of the day, a little confirmation and a compliment or just simply cheering a team member’s name goes a long way.
Thanks guys, your zeal meant a lot to me. I really appreciate it.
