Amazing Race

This blog is about the amazing race that we went on Saturday.
Everyone seems to be saying how much fun it was, but no one seems to be mentioning that is was difficult. Maybe that’s because it was so successful for most of the groups.
This was not the case for my group. We headed off in the wrong direction to start, convinced that we were right. It was very frusterating trying to figure out what went wrong because we had travelled so far off the path. We didn’t want to admit that we were wrong, because that would mean that we had to retrace our steps and start over.
I feel like my group dealt pretty well with the struggles we faced. We looked at the problem from different angles, and tried different things to figure it out. the group was cheerfull and had lots of energy, but I could tell that in the back of the minds of everyone, there was a nagging voice. That voice said ‘why can’t you figure this out’, and ‘I wonder what the other teams are doing’, and ‘are we ever going to finish?’
I now know that I definately know Amber and David better because I got to see them in times when they wern’t so comfortable. I think it was a wonderfull experience and I definetely wouldn’t have learned as much about them had we bee more ‘successful’ in the race.
In the end, I don’t think of us as ‘losers’, just non-winners.
