I Am Inspired

It only takes a split second to make a change in the world. At every instance, we have the opportunity to make a choice. That means that at any moment, we can decide to participate, to contribute or to support. I guess part of me wonders whether that also me that at every split second, people may decide not to participate, not to contribute and not to support. I rather not focus on that though, because I am just amazed that youth from out community not only decided to make a change over a split second, but each and every second, they continue to participate, to contribute and to support. These are undoubtedly leaders of an incredible generation.

How honoured we all are at Reach Lesotho to be working with such astonishing students. They have set such a miraculous example for others, not only youth but adults as well. Although many of us at Student Reach International devote a considerable amount of time to various causes, it is often challenging for us to donate actual money.

These students have inspired me. I have decided that I want to donate $280 to Reach Lesotho, to partake in the 280×280 challenge and make it possible for these young leaders to make the difference they are trying to make. Each dollar that I donate will be representing 100,000 HIV positive individuals in Africa. As a student, I know that I will have to cut back on something to make it possible to make the donation. I haven’t figured out exactly what I will give up but what I know is that I want to.

To our students, thank you for inspiring me the way that I have always dreamed of inspiring others. I am learning so much from each of you and know that I will continue to learn from you as Reach Lesotho progresses.
