Abid’s Uganda Pictures
Posted on 17. Mar, 2010 by Abid in Behind The Scenes, Photos & Video
I was working on some Reach Lesotho administrative work yesterday when my father emailed me a link. I read about a Ugandan King, only seventeen years old, that resides in the same town my Dad was born and raised in. After reading the article and seeing some pictures from Fort Portal, Uganda, I was inspired to upload my pictures and share them.
As you’re going through these pictures, you will be walked through the Ruwenzori Hotel, the Ismaili Muslim mosque, Buhinga Primary School (all my uncles and aunts went there on Dad’s side of the family), the home Dad was born in, the graveyard in which my Uncle Azim was buried and lastly, the squash court in which Dad used to mess around in.
This first experience in Africa was so profound and special to me – we are working hard to make sure the experience is just as special for our students in Lesotho in 2011.
