Summer’s Dawn
Posted on 12. Jul, 2010 by Claire in Claire
The broken tears and shattered souls
All frozen in the snow
The cold and icy feelings
Of a heart that needs to grow
I dream of days when winter frost
Dies out and fades away
The slowly starting summer warmth
Amidst the dead and grey
A quiet rising, summer’s dawn
The rays of coming times
The light defeating darkness
Can you hear those righteous chimes?
A mending heart, a hopeful soul
Reside in melting sorrow
Pleasant times, this brand new day
Good things await tomorrow
(Just a poem I wrote a year or two ago, I read it the other day and thought i’d share)
I was feeling a little gloomy at the time, but as I can see, I managed to find a bright side – hope.
