Life in a Day

Being the YouTube addict that I am, I’ve stumbled upon a bunch of videos recently that really amazed me.
In general, I am astonished at the powerful tool YouTube has become (in only 5 years!!).
One awesome video I came across a few weeks ago (which is now featured on the YouTube home page) is the promotional video for the “Life in a Day” project.
This is a global experiment happening on July 24th, inviting everyone in the world to film a moment (or moments) in their day, and contribute their footage to the “Life in a Day” YouTube channel.
The footage submitted will be sifted through and compiled to make a feature length documentary that will premiere at the Sundance film festival in January 2011. There are no language restrictions on submissions, so the door is open to virtually anyone in the world who has access a camera to share a piece of their day.
Here is the English version of the promotion video:
In addition, the project directors also give people the option to submit their personal answers to the following questions in video format:
What do you love?
What do you fear?
What makes you laugh?
What is in your pocket? Is there a story behind any of those objects?
I think that this project is such an amazing idea! It’s a wonderful example of the beautiful global village our society has become.
If you would like more info about how to get involved check out the “Life in a Day” YouTube channel here.
