I am sixteen-year-old Elyse Holmes.
I attend John F. Ross C.V.I. as a French Immersion grade eleven student. I love learning about our world and the cultures around it, which of course means I love to travel too. I have had the opportunity to see the sites and people of Argentina, Italy, and Iceland. The summer of 2009 marked my first international service project where I visited Costa Rica, doing everything from planting a crop of yucca to teaching teenagers English. I am devoted to helping others at all times. I receive a lot of inspiration from Ryan Hreljac of Ryan’s Well Foundation as he continually shows me what youth are capable of. I am an animal-loving vegetarian and dog owner, and my concern for the environment has earned me the nickname ‘Environmental Elyse’. I enjoy languages, dancing, drawing, cooking, learning, teaching, and singing along to musicals. |
