N. Vales Noma Vales was born and raised in Lesotho. She emigrated to Canada in 1984, and has lived in Guelph since then. Noma has siblings, nephews and nieces living in Lesotho. Volunteering in the Guelph community motivated Noma to become a member of Rotary Club of Guelph. Through Rotary, Noma manages two projects in Lesotho; vegetable production in a village near Hlotse and a Revolving Loan Fund for 30 Poultry farmers. As a way to compliment other projects that focus on the prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS, job creation, in order to eliviate poverty is Noma’s focus.
